Valletta
Valletta, the capital of Malta,
is a beautiful town which is surrounded by 16th Century
walls. The capital is so small in fact, that you can
actually walk around it in a few hours. Valletta is
located on a peninsula and it is surrounded by the
sea and a worthwhile tourist attraction is the Auberge
de Castille, which now is the Prime Ministers residence.
Also worth seeing is the local market.

Mdina
Mdina is over three thousand years old
and which used to be the previous capital of Malta,
is rich in Norman and baroque buildings - characterised
by narrow streets. Located on a peak, it is about
15km West from Valletta. The view from the top offers
a beautiful view of the island. The best-preserved
medieval building is Palazzo Falzon, built in 1495
in Norman style. Mdina has a very beautiful central
square, overlooked by the Sicula-Norman Cathedral,
a XI century catholic church.

Hagar
Qim
The prehistoric Temples of Hagar Qim can be traced
back to the Copper Age, around 400 b.C. The Neolithic
temples in Malta, some of
which are ancient manmade buildings, still exist.
The megalithic complex is rich in sculptures representing
animals, idols, and sacrificial altars. The view,
on the Mediterranean Sea and on the island of Filfla,
is not to be missed.
